Content Producer
Key information about the role
Day-to-day maintenance of the website, including carrying out requests for content updates from across the Gallery.
Manage content-based web projects in collaboration with Senior Product Manager, Content Manager, Web Developers and UX Designers to develop new sections and functionality of the website.
Building, proofing and editing content in the CMS, as well as briefing website image assets.
Support the Gallery's SEO strategy for the website across its structure and content.
Champion and implement website accessibility and usability standards.
Review web content to ensure it is up to date or archived, according to best practice for users and sustainability.
Help ensure that the National Gallery's brand, tone of voice, house style and accessibility guidelines are maintained consistently across all web pages.
Drive web traffic growth and conversions through effective data analysis, content distribution and discovery, working with colleagues in marketing, email and social media.
Digital Storytelling Content Production
Work with external partners and internal stakeholders to produce exhibition and collection written, audio and video content.
Write engaging stories for the National Gallery website.
Evaluate and report on content produced, using data to make recommendations for improvements.
Take an active role in the life of the digital content team, contributing ideas for new projects and sharing best practice.
