Do you have a demonstrable passion for making radio, podcasts and digital material? Are you ready to work in a team that covers some of the world’s biggest sporting events? If so this role at the BBC could be the ideal junior role for you.
Main Responsibilities
You’ll have the opportunity to work on our audio coverage of Premier League, WSL, European Club football and the major men’s and women’s international tournaments. Six Nations rugby, Grand Slam tennis and golf Majors are also likely to feature. When it comes to making podcasts you’ll be vital to the team that produces the Football Daily and other sporting podcasts among the biggest in the industry.
You’ll need to show a passion for sports and learn how to edit audio. You will need to communicate effectively with reporters and producers and work closely with the production team before, during and after the production of output.
You’ll be expected to come up with ideas, stories and treatments for programmes and digital platforms as well as contribute to the creative treatment of an item or programme.
You will be able to work flexibly to deliver live sports programmes from around the world and throughout the day and night.
