Lighting & Sound Technician

Everyman Cinema is looking for a Lighting & Sound Technician to support the Chief Electrician and Head of Sound. This role involves handling electrics duties and maintenance across both auditoria and throughout the building, ensuring seamless technical operations.

Main Responsibilities

• As a member of the Electrics department, providing support for all

productions, whether a visiting company or an in-house production, in

the Everyman main auditorium, The Irving Studio and projects touring

from the Everyman

• Working on get-ins, fit-ups, strikes and get-outs loading and unloading

lighting and sound equipment for visiting company trailers

• Rigging, focusing, plotting and operating lighting

• Rigging, set-up, patching, sound-checking and operating sound

• The preparation or hiring of sound effects and resources

• The preparation or hiring of lighting effects and stage electrics resources

• Acting as Duty Electrician & Fire Marshal in the building for performances

• When appropriate, assist with the stage department with

scenery/props/costume loading, unloading, fitting up and striking

• To assist the Chief Electrician and Head of Sound in the maintenance and

servicing of both production and buildings electrical equipment and

installation, including testing and monitoring as required to service

productions, run the building and comply with Health and Safety

requirements.
