Production Technician

The London Borough of Harrow is seeking a Production Technician to deliver high-quality production values for all events and activities across the Cultural Service. This includes outdoor events, festivals, and events where the Cultural Service has been commissioned to deliver for an external client. The role involves providing excellent customer service to hirers and performers through the technical delivery of events.

Main Responsibilities

• Assist the Production Manager with the technical and production delivery of all Cultural Service events and activities, including construction when necessary.

• Work with the Production Manager in the arrangements for, and efficient operation of, get-ins, getouts, fit-ups, sound checks and installations for visiting artists, companies and groups including working at height and manual handling.

• Undertake all aspects of technical support of events and activities as directed by the Production Manager, including stage management, lighting, sound and special effects.

• Ensure that technical equipment is properly maintained in good working order, that equipment is regularly tested and that replacement equipment and stock is ordered as needed.

• Support the Production Manager with health and safety compliance and improvements associated with all Cultural Service equipment, events and activities.

• Ensure compliance with all relevant licensing requirements, legislation and by-laws in the use of Cultural premises, facilities and equipment and presentation of all events and activities via event checklists.
