Audience Writer

The i Paper is seeking an audience writer to join their newsroom as they expand their efforts to engage new readers on third-party platforms. This newly created role blends writing with visually-led content curation, requiring a talent for crafting original material and repurposing existing journalism to align with platform preferences. 

Main Responsibilities

• Expand The i Paper’s audience on third-party platforms by writing and repackaging content. 

• Apply strong visual skills to illustrate a story with eye-catching, appealing images 

• Pitch daily story ideas informed by trends and audience data. 

• Produce content on a wide range of topics, including politics, culture, and lifestyle. 

• Source and write original features for third-party platforms in line with The i Paper’s values. 

• Craft engaging headlines and copy designed to inform and entertain.
