Junior Curator/Producer
Sam Williams Studio are looking for 3 Junior Curator / Producers to join the Engine: Curatorial Development Programme cohort. You will work with the core project team, participants, and local partners to make the programme a success. This is a great chance to develop your career in arts and community projects. The ambition is that you will set up a creative studio where you can work together and grow your careers, beyond the project. This programme will give you a chance to develop your own curatorial, community engagement and research skills, as well as expand your own creative network and industry knowledge through working with a team of experienced project mentors and cultural practitioners.
Main Responsibilities
Assist in researching, planning, and commissioning an artist to create a new piece of public
art for the Kenilworth Greenway area.
Help organise and manage the logistics of the project, including timelines, artist briefs,
materials and resources for community engagement activity.
Work collaboratively with artists, community groups, and partners to ensure the public art
outcome reflects local voices and stories.
Engage with Communities
Build strong relationships with local residents, groups, and organisations
Support workshops and events that involve the community in the development of the
public art outcome, artist brief and during delivery (as required by the selected artist.)
Work to keep community engagement at the heart of the project.
