Junior Curator/Producer

Sam Williams Studio are looking for 3 Junior Curator / Producers to join the Engine: Curatorial Development Programme cohort. You will work with the core project team, participants, and local partners to make the programme a success. This is a great chance to develop your career in arts and community projects. The ambition is that you will set up a creative studio where you can work together and grow your careers, beyond the project. This programme will give you a chance to develop your own curatorial, community engagement and research skills, as well as expand your own creative network and industry knowledge through working with a team of experienced project mentors and cultural practitioners.

Main Responsibilities

  • Assist in researching, planning, and commissioning an artist to create a new piece of public

    art for the Kenilworth Greenway area.

  • Help organise and manage the logistics of the project, including timelines, artist briefs,

    materials and resources for community engagement activity.

  • Work collaboratively with artists, community groups, and partners to ensure the public art

    outcome reflects local voices and stories.

  • Engage with Communities

  • Build strong relationships with local residents, groups, and organisations

  • Support workshops and events that involve the community in the development of the

    public art outcome, artist brief and during delivery (as required by the selected artist.)

  • Work to keep community engagement at the heart of the project.
